Fun time @ Blue Coral Beach in Laiya, San Juan, Batangas

How can you say no to the luxury of life if it is right there before your very eyes?

I had another splendid beach getaway (my third for summer 2016) last April 21-22, 2016 at the Blue Coral Beach Resort in Laiya, San Juan, Batangas.

The beach is not as spectacular like the other expensive beaches in the Philippines but it is beautiful and wonderful. and the ambiance gave me the feeling of a needed relaxation. The accommodation was good. The foods tasted yummy and delicious. The weather may be hot but I don't mind walking under the rays of the sun. The skies are blue, the sands are white and water is clear.

The next day, I had the chance to chase the beach and had a swim at the pool. I went on boating with a few friends. We were brought at the middle of the sea where we were given the chance to swim at our own delight. An hour after we returned to the beach.

What I enjoyed the most was the Banana Boating. It was my first time and definitely will try again if given the chance. It was adventurous for me. I was screaming my heart out in the open as we sailed on the rough roads of the sea. I felt like I was being thrown out to the sea.

Aside from those activities, of course, I was busy capturing the beauty around me. And the moments, yes, the moments didn't slip my camera for all these moments will be added to the pages of the wandering soul who travels.

In life, there is so much to be thankful for. Blessings come in various forms. God's grace are bestowed to those with a grateful heart. Give thanks and give praise.

Kamay ni Hesus Shrine in Lucban, Quezon

After we finished our tour around the town of Pitogo, we went to Lucena, ate our lunch and rode a jeepney going to Kamay ni Hesus in Lucban, Quezon. It was a 30 minutes ride from Lucena central terminal to Lucban. We paid P30.00 each.

Lucban Quezon is popular not only because of its delicious foods and colorful festivals like the Pahiyas festival celebrated every month of May. Lucban, Quezon has become a favorite tourist spot in the Philippines.

Kamay ni Hesus has fast becoming one of the popular pilgrim sites in the Philippines. Since Filipinos are Catholics, many are easily attracted to visit Kamay ni Hesus to pray for healing, hear mass, repent especially during lenten season and while others come to to give thanks to Jesus Christ.

Kamay ni Hesus healing church is considered one of the sacred grounds and pilgrim sites located at Brgy. Tinamnan, Lucban, Quezon. The 5-hectare shrine was constructed on 2002 and founded by Fr. Joey Faller with the collaborated effort of some local and international communities and the people from Quezon.

It has other sites like Dolorosa Grotto, healing Church, Noah's Ark, Sea of Galilee, Holy Family park and the Pastoral Center.

It was my first time to visit Kamay ni Hesus Shrine last April 17, 2016. I (with madam Flor) climbed the 305 steps grotto to be able to reach the  50 ft. statue of the Ascending Christ. With courage, determination and faith, I was able to climbed and reached the top. And indeed, it was a rewarding experience. On top, your eyes will be filled with the view of the town.

At 2:30 p.m., I attended the Mass (still with Madam Flor) celebrated by Fr. Joey Faller followed by the healing ceremony where Fr. Faller walked inside and outside the chapel with the exposition of the Blessed Sacrament along with the long white cloth symbolizing the Kamay ni Hesus.

How to get to Kamay ni Hesus?
Ride a bus at Buendia going to Lucena (2-3 hours travel).
From Lucena grand terminal ride a jeep going to Lucban (30-40 minutes travel)

A walk along Pitogo Sea Wall

After we had our tour around the town of Pitogo, Madam Flor brought us (still with Mavic) to the house of her auntie to have some refreshment.  At the back of her auntie's house is the Pitogo Sea Wall. I didn't let the opportunity passed without going there and exploring the site.

What is a Sea Wall?

A Sea wall is a form of coastal defense constructed where the sea, and associated coastal processes, impact directly upon the landforms of the coast. The purpose of a seawall is to protect areas of human habitation, conservation and leisure activities from the action of tides and waves. As a seawall is a static feature it will conflict with the dynamic nature of the coast and impede the exchange of sediment between land and sea. (Source: Wikipedia)
